Founders Landing Saltwater Inground Heated Pool Walk to Beach, Town, Restaurants

Welcome to our home. We are located in the historic Founders Landing Community of Southold, up the block from the pristine waters of the Peconic Bay. Founders Beach offers lifeguards, restrooms, picnic area and a playground. For more seclusion, an unguarded beach is down the block as well. Both beaches offer sandy calm water, and are in walking distance with our large fully stocked beach wagon. The beach wagon includes beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys and beach toys. The quaint town of Southold is just up the block and has just about everything you will need. Shops, restaurants, delis, bars, yoga studio and a bakery which are all within walking distance. You can even ride your bicycles that we provide into town as well! Coming by train? It’s a 15 walk to the house. The North Fork has so much to offer. Farm tours, horseback riding, hiking, golf, fishing, over 50 wineries and a few breweries mixed in. We can also arrange a private salt water fly fishing tour or have a yoga instructor come to the house. We purchased our home in 2012 and took a year to completely renovate it. We have 4 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, granite kitchen, dining room, living room, sun room, 20’x20’ screen porch, 40’ wrap around deck and an enclosed outdoor shower. This fall we installed a heated salt water pool with cascading waterfall which is fully fenced in located in our secluded backyard surrounded by tall Leyland Cypress Trees and sitting on ¾ of an acre. Please note that our home is in a quiet community with friendly neighbors. No events or parties of any kind. It’s meant for a relaxing and fun family vacation.

My family and I stayed at this property for a long weekend over Father’s Day this year and have been dreaming about our visit ever since. The house is absolutely beautiful – bright, airy, clean and cozy. The layout is lovely with great space inside and out. And, it is incredibly well-equipped with items that are well-cared for.

Overall, this home is very family-friendly, with lots of games, books and toys for young children – and for those of us who are city-dwellers – a sizable yard to run around in.

The location is also great if you like to be able to walk to both the beach and the village. The nearby beach is beautiful – and great places for foodies are also close by. The North Fork Roasting Co, North Fork Table & Inn – and food truck, wineries, etc are within a 5-10 minute walk away.

I will be back to this house and can’t recommend it highly enough to others.

We were warmly welcomed with a bottle of wine and a “happy birthday” banner tastefully placed to welcome my mom on her birthday weekend! This home is spacious, spotless and had everything we needed to settle- in and enjoy a fabulous fall weekend. A lovely, short walk to the beach and Founder’s Park, the surroundings are beautiful. Close to shops, restaurants and vineyards, there is plenty to do. We absolutely plan to return!

My extended family and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend. We were blown away by how beautiful, comfortable, clean and welcoming this property was. The owners even left a bottle of wine out for us as a welcome gift!

It’s a short 5 minute walk down to beach. The beach is very small but enjoyable all the same. We spent the few days hopping from winery to winery and took in some of the wonderful family events on the North fork that weekend. It is one of our favorite parts of the country. Will definitely rent again. This place is a real gem

The decor is beautiful and it was immaculately clean. We had three couples and two young children in the house. The layout was ideal. There is plenty of room for everyone. The location was ideal. This is a tremendous house! We rented it from the very nice and extremely cooperative owners for a special family celebration, and it completely surpassed our expectations. The family ages range from 5 to 75 and everyone found something great. It’s a very nice sized, and well stocked house sitting on a well-kept piece of property in a great location for vineyard hopping, beach going, and town strolls. Highly recommend this house.

relaxing with wine and cheese! This home has it all!! Warm and gorgeous decour, stocked with everything you can imagine…down to mini flashlights bedside and bubbles for the kids!!

The home is spotless, the kitchen a chef’s dream, the owners extremely helpful, the location perfect for touring around the Nork Fork. The wineries are all around you, Greenport very close and a fun afternoon activity, and the town of Southold a nice place to stroll through. We chose to dine in and were amazed at all of the kitchen gadgets, cookware, servingware and outdoorware. The owners thought of everything to make our stay relaxing and stress free! What you see in the photos of the home is exactly as it is…but in person it is even better!!!!!! Everyone will enjoy this North Fork Nautical Getaway!!!!

Everything was new. We spent most of our time on the screened porch and outside deck. A gem in the North Fork. I highly recommend this home.

This house was great. It had everything we could have needed. We were 2 families (4 adults and 5 children) and we had more than enough space. The pictures are spot on. The home is beautifully renovated and decorated. It was clean and very well maintained. The yard and screened porch is were amazing and where spent most of our time. This house has everything you could ever want in a rental. We have been renting for the past 8 years and this by far has been the most complete house we have ever visited. All of the bedrooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. The amount of bathrooms and showers make it easy to stay out of each others way. The kitchen and covered patio allow you to stay outside all night and not get eaten alive by bugs. Its the small things in this house that really make a diffrence like the decorating, no holes in the screens, outdoor shower and a working babrbeque. The beach is one block away and there is another beach within a 3 minute drive that has a lot of amenities. There is a nice strip of stores and a bar right down the block if you do not feel like driving. The owners also make themselves available if you may need them. Thank you. John

Our family stayed here in August, and everything was absolutely wonderful. The house is very spacious and beautifully renovated, with excellent proximity to beaches (one is within walking distance) and many other fun activities in Southold and beyond. We really loved all the amenities of the house, and especially enjoyed the fabulous screened-in porch and wrap-around deck. The owner was so helpful and always available to answer our questions. Overall, just the perfect place for a family vacation. I highly recommend it!

We could not have found a more perfect place for my family to meet up and explore the North Fork. We have rented through VRBO often but have never found such a well stocked kitchen or a house that really feels like a home. Easy walks out for breakfast and to the beach gave everyone something to do. Kids loved the hammock and chasing fireflies at night. Think we spent most of our time on the large screened-in porch. Would love to come back!
